I gonna write a blog entrance now and then regarding the use of fabric scraps. I don’t know many parts I make yet, I guess we see when I run out of ideas :)My head is so full of them I better write some down and hope to get you inspired for some crafting , maybe even some Xmas presents??
I have a very hard time throwing away any leftover fabric. Is have several boxes full of scraps, which my toddler loves to empty and dig through them.
So part one I will make about some adorable button earrings.
They add such a lovely pop off colour to any outfit!
You only need a tiny piece for those , so they are a perfect use to preserve your favorite fabrics. As smaller the print as better.
All you need :
– fabric scrap, works with almost everything but best with a lightweight cotton
– a diy fabric button kit in the size you want ( they usually come in packages of 6 so you can make yourself 3 pairs or give some away as a present )
– crafting pliers
– a box of diy studs
– super glue
You follow the instructions on the button kit. There should be a pattern on the back of the package. Cut a piece of fabric out in the size of the circle.
I thought i use a christmasy fabric, im so in holiday mood !!!!
When purchasing the button kit make sure you buy the ones with the little teeth.
These are much easier to use.Twist the metal loop in the back of the button with the pliers out.
Then finish the button as instructed
Glue the back of the stud onto the button and you are done!!!
Aren’t they sweet?
I’m surely will put some off those in my store !
Any pieces of your favourite fabric lying around? Go and make some jewelry! 🙂
